If we had to bet on it at the start of the year, we would've guessed that funk duo, Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One, would be dropping another Tuxedo album - in maintaining with their "every-two-year" schedule they've had going since their debut album in 2015. Sadly for fans after the second album though, March came and went with no sign of a third album.
While the duo hasn't released any plans for a third album, they came through today with a new single that will have you bopping along with their signature retro, electro-inspired funky beats.
“Tuxedo is music for celebrating,” the duo says. “Yet, as we were working on new music, we realized, much to our surprise, that we didn’t actually have a quintessential celebration song in our catalog. ‘The Tuxedo Way’ is the answer to that problem.” Indeed, the song features celebratory lyrics to go along with the upbeat tempo and festive feels.
