Check out a preview of August Alsina's next single.

August Alsina has been making headlines for things other than his music lately. Just this Summer, the New Orleans crooner made news for opening up about his percocet addiction on Jada Pinkett Smith’s podcast “Red Table Talk.” As a result of this, we haven't heard much music from August in the past couple years as he’s been concentrating more on himself that his music, but it finally looks like that might be changing soon. On Tuesday, the N.O. singer took to his Instagram to tease an upcoming single.

“Turn your post notifications on so you’ll know when I let this Go…” he captioned the post, which looks to be a teaser of an upcoming video. Unfortunately there’s no information with the post, like what the song is called or when it’ll be dropping, but it looks to be right around the corner. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised to see it drop this Friday, but thats just speculation on my end.

August hasn’t released any new music since last year when he dropped off the single & video for “Lonely,” a record that was supposed to see life on his next project. However we could be super close to his official return.

While we wait for further details and concrete info, check out the teaser of August’s return (below) and let us know how its sounding.
