Brockhampton's "Iridescence" Might Debut At #1 On The Billboard 200

Regardless of the number one spot or not, "Iridescence" will likely be Brockhampton's highest charting album to date.

It's been a year filled with ups and downs for Brockhampton. At the heels of signing a $15M deal with RCA, allegations against one of the founding members Ameer Van caused the group to take a step back from the game and regroup. Unfortunately, that meant their fourth studio album would ultimately be delayed. The album finally arrived last Friday and it's looking like it'll be their most commercially successful album to date.

According to Hits Daily Double, Brockhampton's Iridescence could top the Billboard 200 next week. The group's latest project is expected to move between 88K to 94K in album equivalent units with 66K to 71K of those being pure album sales. At this point, the group's only competition for the top spot is Josh Groban's new album, Bridges which is expected to move 94K to 99K.

Kevin Abstract, the group's leader, took to Twitter to urge fans to help them secure the number one spot.

"guys we can beat josh groban I'm sure he's a good guy but we Are the best boyband since One Direction this is dedicated to harry." He wrote.

Regardless of whether they land atop of the Billboard 200, Iridescence will end up being their highest charting album to date. The third installment in the Saturation series managed to peak at number 15 on the Billboard chart.
