"We ain't goin nowhere"

The NBA trade deadline has come and gone, and Anthony Davis is still a member of the New Orleans Pelicans.

With that, the Los Angeles Lakers' young core of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart are also staying put. Needless to say, Lonzo couldn't be happier that he's staying in L.A.

Mere moments after the deadline passed, the second-year point guard posted a video on his Instagram story with a clear message: "We ain't goin nowhere."

The Lakers were prepared to ship out the aforementioned players, as well as multiple first round picks, as part of a package for Anthony Davis but the Pelicans weren't sold. Davis, who can become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2020, has already informed the team that he has no intentions of signing a contract extension.

New Orleans will revisit the Davis trade talks after this season is over, when the Boston Celtics will be able to put together a package of their own. However, Davis is reportedly uninterested in signing an extension with the Celtics.

According to a report by The New York Times' Marc Stein, the New York Knicks are another team that could make a play for Davis if they land the #1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Stein reports that A.D. "has the Knicks on equal footing with the Lakers in terms of teams he is interested in signing with long-term."

Whatever happens, Lonzo Ball and co. aren't going anywhere (yet).
