He plans to publish a book about the matter.

Fans of many deceased legends often hold on to their idols so tightly that they refuse to believe in their deaths. Fans of Tupac Shakur AKA 2Pac have also engaged in this emotion. Many theories about his being alive have survived decades. A popular one has been his alleged escape to the Caribbean. This particular take is being revived by a British man who claims to have been part of the rapper's exit strategy.

Michael Nice says he was a member of a security working for The Black Panthers Party during the 90s. According to Nice, when the group caught wind of a hit being placed on Tupac, they decided to shield the entertainer from danger by getting him out of the country. He affirms that the rapper was injured during the Las Vegas shooting on September 7, 1996. Still, they managed to flee successfully.

"It was me, my brother, the pilot, Tupac as the co-pilot and two Panther guys on the jet."

"We took off and immediately knew we were safe, we felt good and it was like escaping from prison."

"There were hugs and handshakes when we finally managed to get him to Barbados."

In a video, Michael Nice describes part of his experience and reveals his plans to recount the tales in a book.

"I just cannot wait to answer you haters and just tell the truth, come up with the good. You won't be able to doubt me."

Nice says the reason he was selected for the risky operation was due to his quasi-irrelevance.

"No one could be trusted and I was unknown."
