The months are quickly passing by, and 2018 is almost coming to a close. Think about it. There's only one month left in the Summer, then the holiday season will come in a rush and we'll be celebrating New Year's Day in no time. Before the holiday season approaches, and the weather cools down, we still have one more month of Summer to enjoy. August has arrived, and that means two things: Pre-season football is here and Netflix has a long list of new movies being added to their catalog.
The movies and shows being added to Netflix in August are on point. It looks like there will be much less mindless movie searching this month, as the list of enjoyable titles is expansive. Netflix is adding the hood classic Paid In Full to their catalog, which is a brilliant move. Cam'ron, Wood Harris, and Mekhi Phifer star in a story about the ultimate come up, and the dangers of greed and jealousy. The Simpsons and Futurama creator Matt Groening is releasing his new series Disenchantment in August as well.
Fans of J. R. R. Tolkien will be excited to see that Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is also making an appearance, although Netflix should just add the entire LOTR and Hobbit movie franchise to their catalog. Ozark Season 2, Like Father, and Cocaine Coast lead the list of Netflix Originals premiering this month, but the streaming giant has an abundant offering of new original content if those don't interest you.
