Orlando Magic rookie center Mo Bamba will reportedly miss "significant time" after suffering a stress fracture in his left tibia, according to a statement release by the team today.

Bamba, 20, didn't play in the team's 102-89 victory against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday, but he is averaging 6.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 47 games this season.

The team's statement on Bamba's injury reads:

"Mo Bamba has been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left tibia. His return to basketball-related activities will depend on how he responds to rest, non-operative treatment and rehabilitation."

Orlando Magic President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman adds, "Thankfully we caught this early and are able to treat Mo without surgery. His return to action will depend on how he responds to treatment."

Through 53 games this season, the Magic are sitting in 11th place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 22-31. Worth noting, that's just three game back of the eighth seeded Miami Heat.
