It's been a week since since XXXTENTACION's untimely passing. Many of his peers and friends have organized memorials in order to pay respect to the late rapper. A massive crowd of his fans gathered for a vigil in Los Angeles last week. Lil Yachty also hosted a memorial in Atlanta a few days a go. Today, his mother is giving fans one last chance for fans to say good-bye to the rapper.
XXXTENTACION fans will be able to say goodbye to the rapper one last time today at an open-casket viewing for the rapper. The memorial will be held at the BB&T Center that seats 20,737 inside the arena from 12-6 p.m. His mother and law enforcement are expecting massive crowds to be in attendance.
“His mother wants to ensure his fans get the opportunity to see him one last time,” Solomon Sobande, X's manager, said to Sun-Sentinel. “His fans were like family to him as well, and we want them to be able to say goodbye properly.”
X's body will be on display in an open casket on stage but there won't be any sort of service. The media and fans are prohibited from bringing in any recording device including phones. Sobande said there will be a few cameramen inside the memorial but those are the ones who were hired for their own purposes.
The Sunrise Police Department will also be there as additional security.
“We are anticipating a crowd, and preparing for a crowd,” officer Christopher Piper said.
XXXTENTACION's actual funeral service will be held privately.
