Rihanna Was Ready For Slick Woods To Go Into Labor At NYFW Show

Rihanna reportedly ensured that help was onsite for the pregnant models in her show.

Rihanna's Savage x Fenty show is rapidly becoming a historic event and a celebrated reflection of inclusivity in an industry famous for its grueling standards of beauty. For Ri's friend and talented model Slick Woods, the night will carry deep significance. During the show, Woods went into labor, and thanks to the efforts and preparation of Ri, was examined by a paramedic immediately and rushed to a waiting ambulance.

Several sources told The Blast that Rihanna was invested in the health and safety of the models walking in her show and took increased precaution to ensure that pregnant models would have the kind of medical support they required. Rihanna's camp reportedly made plans with NYFW officials to make certain that the two pregnant model walking the show, Slick Woods and Janina Thompson, had personal handlers dedicated to their wellbeing for its duration.

The Blast also reports that when Woods left the catwalk and expressed feeling unusual, Ri's dressing room was cleared so that she could receive the medical attention she required. Though all other models and staff were asked to clear the area, Ri remained by Woods' side during her evaluation. Woods to her Instagram to share the news that she had given birth to her son Saphir approximately 14 hours after the show.
