15-year-old Lesandro Guzman-Feliz was brutally murdered last week outside of a bodega in the Bronx. Gut-wrenching footage of his murder was captured by onlookers, which show the teen being dragged out of the bodega by his hoody, and then beaten and stabbed multiple times. In the footage, Guzman-Feliz holds the gaping gash in his neck while standing up and saying something inaudible as the attackers flee. Another video shows him slumped on the pavement while onlookers scream and try to apply pressure to the gash on his neck. He ran to a nearby hospital soon after the attack, but collapsed a block away and died before receiving medical attention.
Guzman-Feliz's funeral was held on Monday, and thousands showed up to pay their respects and give his mother support during this rough time. According to Daily Mail, the killing has been said to be a case of mistaken identity. The attackers, who have been reported as members of the Dominican gang Trinitarios, were pursuing a man who posted a sex-tape of a girl that is allegedly related to members of the gang. The 15-year-old girl is under NYPD police protection after receiving death threats on social media after she promoted the murder. Seven suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing.
