The rapper is set on returning to the movie screen.

T.I. seems eager to continue his film career, after having impressed audiences as Dave in the 2015 production of Ant-Man. His team is currently in talks for a potential role in a Netflix movie starring Eddie Murphy, who is cast in the production's main role. The film is a biographical illustration of comedian and film producer Rudy Ray Moore. Other familiar names that have already been confirmed as part of the project, which began last week in Los Angeles, are Wesley Snipes, Tituss Burgess, Mike Epps, Craig Robinson and Da'Vine Joy Randolph.

The movie, entitled Dolemite Is My Name!, tells the story of Rudy Ray Moore's journey in comedy and film. He is known to some as the godfather of Rap for his use of rhymes in his style of comedy that was charged with explicit sexual content. His storytelling often included the street hustle archetypes of players, pimps, and prostitutes. The popularity he gained through his unique voice allowed the comedian to finance his own blaxploitation film, Dolemite, which became an underground hit.

The Netflix biopic would have T.I. playing the part of a movie producer. The film is set to hit audiences in 2019. In the meantime, catch T.I. in the Ant-Man sequel, July 6th.
