"I’m sure we will, it’s a long season."

Kevin Durant still hadn't spoken to teammate Draymond Green about Monday night's dust-up as of last night. Green, who was suspended for one game without pay for conduct detrimental to the team, had reportedly challenged Durant about his impending free agency and called the two-time Finals MVP a "bitch" multiple times during their argument.

In case you missed it - Green and KD got into a heated exchange at the end of regulation during Monday's loss to the Clippers, after Green dribbled away the final possession of the fourth quarter without getting a shot up. Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the argument carried into locker room, with multiple teammates "loudly confronting Green for decision-making on final play of regulation." The scene was described as one of most intense of this Golden State Warriors' era.

According to ESPN's Nick Friedell, Durant said the following after last night's 110-103 victory over the Atlanta Hawks: “Obviously it’s definitely weird he’s not here ... shit happens in the NBA.” On if he and Draymond have hashed things out, KD told reporters, “Nah. I’m sure we will, it’s a long season," according to Logan Murdock of the Mercury News.

The Athletic's Tim Kawakami reports "the franchise is walking on eggshells around the Durant free-agency situation" and that Draymond's outburst was a pressure release.

Klay Thompson downplayed the ordeal, telling reporters (H/T NBC Sports Grant Liffmann), "This thing will be in the past like a pony tail."
