Drake celebrates Miami Art Week at the American Express Platinum House at The Miami Beach EDITION on December 7, 2017 in Miami Beach, Florida.

Drake was heading to a dark place.

The Drake versus Pusha T beef seemed to be over when the latter dropped "The Story of Adidon." Drizzy, who was quick to respond to Pusha's "Infrared" with "Duppy Freestyle" has yet to address his opponent on wax, which in the world of instant gratification and social media translates to a loss. Still, fans of the Canadian rapper are eagerly awaiting his new album Scorpion, which DJ Akademiks confirmed will have a few shots aimed at Pusha T.

Now, Akademiks has come forth with some more insight into the beef. The Everyday Struggle host claims that he had a conversation with Drake, in which he explains why he did not release the diss song that everyone is waiting for. Of course, J Prince has came forward to say that he advised Drake not to release the record, but Akademiks says Drake made a conscious decision to avoid the beef himself. Akademiks states that in his private conversation with Drizzy, the "Nice For What" rapper claimed that, "at times, shit goes beyond just music." Akademiks continued on to say that Drake said if the beef continued to be escalated, it would go "to a point of no return," and it was taking him to "a very dark place."

It looks like we'll have to wait until Scorpion drops before we hear a more direct response from Drake himself.
