Without Stan Lee, there would be no Marvel. The legendary comic book creator has been the grandfather to the imaginations of children for decades. Lee created the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and Black Panther, along with a lengthy list of other characters. His highly expected, and always hilarious, Marvel movie appearances have kept him in the public eye in the last decade. His smiling face and instantly recognizable voice are synonymous with Marvel Comics. Unfortunately, not everyone has been showing Lee the love and respect he deserves.
According to TMZ, Lee's former attorney Tom Lallas filed for a restraining order against the comic book creators' caregiver and business partner Keya Morgan. Lallas claims that Morgan took control of Stan's home and moved him into a condo in June, where he says Morgan isolated Stan from friends and family. The restraining order was filed after Morgan gave a false police report that claimed 3 unidentified burglary suspects broke into Stan's house. Morgan called the police, who arrived at the scene with an entire squad to save Lee from the alleged thieves. It turns out that adult protective services and detectives were conducting a welfare check on Lee on May 30, when Morgan was not at the residence. When Morgan arrived, he was not allowed to enter the residence while protective services continued their investigation. Possibly angered, he called the police and lied, claiming that Lee was being robbed.
"I have taken great care of Stan Lee for the past many years, and have never had a problem directly with Stan," Morgan told TMZ. "I have a fantastic relationship with him for the past many years as he has stated countless times on the record and I literally saved his life once." Morgan must stay 100 yards away from Lee, and a hearing has been scheduled for July 6.
