Halle Berry’s name doesn’t appear on the film’s Wikipedia page, but the movie star has confirmed, via Instagram, that she will star alongside Keanu Reeves in John Wick: Chapter 3.

The film is the latest instalment of Lionsgate’s action movie series and will be directed by Chad Stahelski, who handled the other two chapters.
As with all franchises, the story picks up where Chapter 2 left off. Wick, a former assassin who tried – unsuccessfully - to live the quiet life, with a $14 million price tag on his head and a set of bounty-hunting killers on his trail. After he offs a member of the “international assassin’s guild,” the High Table, Wick is excommunicado (i.e., shit out of luck), with the world’s most ruthless hitmen and women await his every turn.
Berry’s role in the film is being kept mum, are being kept secret, but apparently, she will not be the film’s villain.
Maybe this will be a much-needed break for the Hollywood actress. When she wasn’t in court with disgruntled exes, she was in a string of flops; and hasn’t had a real break since Monster’s Ball.
The John Wick series has performed well at the box office. So, while it won’t be an Oscar hit, it will be good fun for a Friday night.
The film is scheduled to hit theatres May 17, 2019.
