Air Jordan 5 "Black Satin"

Top 10 Sneakers Releasing In November: Yeezys, Kyrie 5, Air Jordan 1 "ROY" & More

Release Date: November 3 (Available Here)

Retail Price: $190

In 2016, Jordan Brand began experimenting with satin materials on the Air Jordan 1, revamping the iconic "Banned" colorway with sleek, satin detailing. A "Royal" Air Jordan 1 Satin followed in 2017 and a "Shattered Backboard" women's exclusive released earlier this year.

Now, Jordan Brand is bringing the satin design to the Air Jordan 5 with an all-new "Bred" colorway. The kicks, available in sizes for the whole fam, feature a predominately black satin build accompanied by a red speckled midsole and an icy blue translucent outsole. Additional details include a reflective 3M tongue with a red jumpman, while a black jumpman sits on the heel, blending with the black satin upper.

Adidas Harden Vol.3 "Supernova"

Top 10 Sneakers Releasing In November: Yeezys, Kyrie 5, Air Jordan 1 "ROY" & More

Nike Kyrie 5 "Blk Mgc"

Top 10 Sneakers Releasing In November: Yeezys, Kyrie 5, Air Jordan 1 "ROY" & More

Release Date: November 22

Retail Price: $130

The Kyrie 5 - latest signature sneaker of Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving - will finally make it's retail debut later this month in a black and white "BLK MGC" colorway.

The kicks are highlighted by a new Nike Air Zoom unit engineered to help Kyrie play quicker and sharper, as well as a new Flywire system and traction pattern on the sole.

Benjamin Nethongkome, designer of the KYRIE 5, breaks down its three critical elements:

1. An articulated forefoot zoom bag This is a huge technological unlock for supporting guard play. Why? Because of its unique properties (see sidebar for more on this), the Air Zoom Turbo unit curves to wrap the bottom and sides of the foot. "In the Kyrie 5, it is distributed across the entire forefoot footbed, working with his quick-change-of-direction style of play. When he's banking, cutting, or attacking in drastic degrees, his foot will engage the Air Zoom Turbo unit providing responsiveness at all directions," explains Nethongkome.

2. A new containment system Inspired by a Venus Flytrap, this feature creates optimal containment above the Air Zoom Turbo unit. “The Flywire is arranged so that it locks the foot into the Air Zoom Turbo unit, and this amplifies the responsiveness of Zoom in the forefoot,” says Nethongkome. “We wanted it to be both beautiful and improve on fit and feel.”

3. A new traction pattern This draws direct inspiration from Irving. “The traction system for the KYRIE 5 creates stability through discreet geometries,” says Nethongkome. “Have you seen the Hamsa hand tattoo on his left arm? It's a symbol of protection for him, it kind of shields him from all the bad juju, and so it became the jump-off point for the shaping of the outsole patterns. He wants to have more than just a basketball shoe. And this allows us to apply more of his spirit throughout the shoe.”

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Sesame"

Top 10 Sneakers Releasing In November: Yeezys, Kyrie 5, Air Jordan 1 "ROY" & More

Release Date: November 23

Retail Price: $220

The Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 will be heading to retailers once more in an all-new colorway on Black Friday.

Although Kanye West has hinted at more colorful Yeezy Boost releases, this upcoming "Sesame" rendition is more in line with the traditional, Earthy tones that were used on the original run of Yeezy Boosts. The kicks, retailing for $220, feature a light khaki primeknit upper, accompanied by a smoky Boost midsole and a timeless gum outsole beneath it all.

It looks as though the Sesame Yeezys will be one of the last Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2s to release, as Kanye West and Adidas reportedly have plans to roll out the Yeezy Boost 350 V3 in the first quarter of 2019.

Air Jordan 33 "Utility Black"

Top 10 Sneakers Releasing In November: Yeezys, Kyrie 5, Air Jordan 1 "ROY" & More

Release Date: November 29

Retail Price: $175

According to Nike, the “Utility Blackout” Air Jordan 33 is inspired by the brand’s history of stealth-inspired colorways. With the exception of red stitching and an ice sole, it’s all black and ready to hit the court.

The Air Jordan 33 is the first Air Jordan basketball shoe to feature Nike’s FastFit technology. FastFit removes laces and introduces an all-new system for containment on the court, an innovation designed to provide ultimate lockdown.

“Flight has always been part of our Jordan DNA,” says Jordan Brand Vice President of Design David Creech. “Our team considered the utility-led design of space flight suits and used that inspiration to help craft the AJ XXXIII. Like those suits, the shoe features visible technology designed for function, but that also becomes a staple style element.”

How FastFit works, according to Jordan Brand:

  1. Loops on the tongue and heel allow easier entry
  2. The tightening system activates its cables with a single tug of the forefoot strap, creating a full 360-lockdown
  3. Eject by pulling the side loops to release the cables

Like all of the Jordan models post the AJ30, the 33 also features subtle design cues from the past. The window to the tightening system mimics the original Air window, and the use of “Nike Air” on the heel tab is a reflection of the III, IV, V and VI. The extra-large tongue is also the perfect canvas for a Jumpman — just as it was when Tinker Hatfield debuted the logo on the Air Jordan 3.

I like this colorway too personally! #jordan33 #JordanXXXIII #Jumpman #airjordan
