GQ Magazine's comedy issue uses its cover to mock one of the most ridiculous photoshop errors in recent memory. Vanity Fair's "Hollywood Portfolio" featured a gaggle of A-Listers posing for Annie Leibovitz's camera, however, James Franco was removed from the composition at the last minute in relation to the sexual misconduct scandal that nabbed a bevy of headlines before the glossy was released. As a result, this alteration resulted in Oprah Winfrey appearing to have a third arm and Reese Witherspoon an extra leg.

GQ's cover stars Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon and Sarah Silverman were all similarly photographed wearing elegant evening gowns and posed in a typical editorial fashion. Upon closer inspection, one can notice a bevy of extra limbs throughout the composition, in an obvious exaggeration of its source material. Nonetheless, the actresses' very posed demeanour only adds to the comedic elements found within the image.

The magazine has acrimoniously apologized for the photograph on their website, noting how the editors' intention "was to celebrate the three super-funny superstars, who are all that is smart and perceptive and riotous and necessary in comedy right now. We deeply regret that the results violated GQ's rigorous standards of editorial excellence and the laws of nature." They will now be conducting "a thorough internal audit" to ensure this embarrassment does not happen again.
