Last month, we found out that Tyler The Creator would be contributing to The Grinch soundtrack when we heard his rendition of the classic song, “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” previewed in the film’s latest trailer. Well fast forward to today, and that song has officially arrived which of course is a remake from 1996 cult classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
Pretty much a cover, Tyler uses the a lot of same lyrics from the cult classic, while sprinkling in his own flavor & adding a few relatable bars on topic. His deep voice & angry tone, makes for a perfect match for the Grinch’s dark side and character. And better yet, it’s just a taste of what’s to come as Tyler is handling the entire soundtrack for the film, with many more songs to come.
