The POTUS is addressing the widespread controversy.

Donald Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to denounce a newly-released composite sketch of the man who allegedly threatened Stormy Daniels as a result of her affair with the former businessman.

"A sketch years later about a nonexistent man. A total con job, playing the Fake News Media for Fools (but they know it)!" Trump tweeted out to his legion of followers. His post also included a supplementary link to a photo of a man who is supposedly Daniels' ex-partner, suggesting that he uncannily resembles the figure in the image.

This tweet is the first time the president has addressed this ongoing matter on Twitter, but does not directly refer to Daniels. Trump recently told reporters he was unaware of the $130,000 payment that was wired to the former adult entertainment actress in advance of the 2016 election. Representatives at the White House have advised the current Commander in Chief to avoid augmenting the issue by publicly addressing it, even though he is thirsting to defend himself.

Daniels and her lawyer Michael Avenatti are posting a $131,000 reward for anyone who can identify the mystery individual, who reportedly threatened her in 2011 after she tried to come clean about her affair with Trump to a magazine for $15,000.
