The ladies have stolen the top spot.

Whoever decided to create Ocean's 8 deserves an award. Seriously, the thought that went into constructing this film was genius. Not only did Ocean's 8 arrive just in time to coincide with a growing, and beautifully powerful, feminist movement in Hollywood, but it also leaves room for sequels. Think about it. They can release two more films, Ocean's 9 and Ocean's 10, without interfering with the chronology of the first three films. Then, they can turn around and sell Ocean's 8 through 13 as a package Blu-ray deal. Brilliant.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ocean's 8 should take the number one spot at the domestic box-office with a  $35 million-$40 million debut. It will take out Solo: A Star Wars Story for the top spot, which has been underperforming and will be the first Star Wars film to lose moneyOcean's 8 was directed by Gary Ross, and stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, and Helena Bonham Carter as eight thieves who attempt to rob the Met Gala.

There's a decent amount of cameos in the film, which follows Debbie Ocean, the sister of Danny Ocean, who was played by George Clooney in the trio of Ocean's films that were released in the early 2000's.
