Today, an intriguing piece of memorabilia has hit the market: a mugshot belonging to the legendary Notorious B.I.G.
Apparently, Biggie was previously arrested at a nightclub, between 1994 and 1995. When the rapper was taken to a County jail for booking, a man reportedly asked the rapper for his autograph, as his little sister Megan was a fan. Big complied, hooking up the fan with a mugshot and personalized note. The note reads, “To: Megan, Much Love, ‘Thanks 4 the phone call’ B.I.G.”
Now, the mugshot has made its way onto Moments In Time, a reputable dealer of autographs and memorabilia. The current price is $36 thousand dollars.
This isn't the first time a Biggie related item was placed up for sale The SUV the rapper was murdered was going for up to $1.5 million; while the idea of riding in a dead man's car is macabre to say the least, it gains value as a singular piece of history. Some might argue that in itself is worth the steep fiscal cost.
