Big changes are coming to the beloved breakfast chain.

IHOP, also known as the International House of Pancakes, is deciding to rebrand itself after 60-years in business. Taking to Twitter, the breakfast chain has announced that they will be dropping the P from IHOP and replacing it with a b.

"For 60 pancakin’ years, we’ve been IHOP. Now, we’re flippin’ our name to IHOb. Find out what it could b on 6.11.18. #IHOb," the company tweeted.

IHOP has yet to give an explanation as to why they've changed the last letter in their acronym, but many are suspecting the b will stand for breakfast. However, some Twitter users are particularly keen on the name change, with many seeing it as an unnecessary amendment.

Others believe the company may be putting on an elaborate hoax in order to galvanize some publicity for the breakfast chain. A representative for IHOP has spoken with the New York Post and confirmed that the name change is serious

For those worried that dropping the P from their name will result in the banishment of pancakes from their menu, IHOP has officially confirmed that they will "still 'b' here."
