"The Old Lady" tables a generous bid for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese footballing legend has amassed 451 goals in a Real Madrid shirt in nearly ten years of service. The fairy tale may come to a crashing end this summer as the Spanish giants have been given a proposition they'd be hard pressed not to consider. The BBC reports that Italian club Juventus have bid  €100 million for the 33-year-old's transfer, a startling figure for a player on the wrong side of 30.

Real Madrid is believed to be strongly weighing their options after a season in which their talisman disenchantment with the club shortly after lifting the Champions League title. Ronaldo also grew frustrated with his parent club after being seemingly misled in a case of tax evasion, for which he had to fork over €20 million or risk more punitive measures and greater tariffs.

Ronaldo's agent has been deep in discussion with Juventus reps but the main hurdle which could thwart the deal altogether, appears to be wage demands. Cristiano's current salary more than quadruples the highest paid player on the Juventus roster, Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuain. Even at the height of their current run, this crop of Real Madrid talent could profit from a little shake-up. Their bench boss Zinedine Zidane reached a relative coaching summit within two seasons, citing a "need for change" as reason for his resignation.
