This week's #TBT is Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's and 2Pac's "Thug Luv."

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have delivered us countless classics throughout their career. They're also one of the few groups to have worked with both Biggie and 2Pac while they were alive. Back in 1997, Bone Thugs  released their third studio album, The Art Of War. The project didn't feature many artists but they did have a 2Pac collaboration they recorded before his passing. Today, we bring back Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and 2Pac's "Thug Luv" for this weeks Throwback Thursday.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and 2Pac's "Thug Luv" was one of the highlights off of The Art Of War. The song meshes the melodic and rapid flow of Bone Thugs and the passionate, aggressive tone of Pac's voice over grim production. A few years a go, Bone Thugs explained that the song came about after 2Pac got at them for the use of "thug" in there name and "Thug Luv" was a product of them squashing their misunderstanding. Ultimately, it became one of the most popular records in their catalog and an undoubted fan favorite.

Quotable Lyrics
Please explain to me now, don't panic when my guns burst
Heard the last jam, n*gga? This one's worse
My n***a Bone held the chrome 'til I came home
Thug Luv players, tell these bitch n***as, "bring it on"
I caught a plane out to Cleveland late last evenin'
To help my n***as clean up some n***as no longer breathin'
