She's also moved out of L.A.

After quietly undergoing a kidney transplant last summer, Selena Gomez has spoken of her decision to lay low and step away from the spotlight in an interview with Good Morning America. "Honestly I've just kind of stepped back a bit. I'm enjoying my life. I don't really think about anything that causes me stress anymore, which is really nice," she said. Gomez kept her surgery a secret until September 2017, at which point she shared the news in an Instagram post. "So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health," she wrote. Gomez was diagnosed with Lupus about 5 years back.

Gomez appeared on Good Morning America in promotion of the new animated film Hotel Transylvania 3, in which she voices Mavis alongside Andy Samberg and Adam Sandler. It's a small step back into the entertainment industry for the actress and singer. Gomez also revealed that she has moved from L.A. as part of her efforts to take this easy. "I don't even live in Los Angeles anymore," she said. "I don't pay attention to trying to get people to like me as much."
