Gunplay Raising Fists

Gunplay displays plenty candor while discussing his highs and lows with the Breakfast Club panel.

Gunplay joined the Breakfast Club to discuss a plethora of issues, ranging from label issues, romantic pursuits, near-death experiences, drive-by shootings, and reality television. The essence of the interview is contained in the fact that Gunplay is willing to admit defeat over his failure to blow up as an artist, ultimately leading him in the direction of "show money" because he was dead broke.

Joining the cast of "Love and Hip Hop Miami" was an easy sell because he was at a point where "if a nickel bag was getting sold in the park he wanted in." The chemistry between him and Charlamagne is palpable and not once does Gunplay feel sorry for himself while being pressed for detail. He even opens up about on-air hijinks that occured between him, his ex and a stripper, while shooting the reality program.

The Miami rapper proves to be at an intersection in his career where he could pick things up or fade into the shadows. Gunplay seems to have chosen the first option. The hustle never ventures too far from this one.
