2 Chainz announces a new album on NBA All-Star Weekend.

2 Chainz simply cannot stop. Unlike many of his contemporaries, his skills seem to sharpen with age; his last album, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, was among his strongest releases thus far. Now, in the wake of leading a team of experienced hip-hop ballers during the East Vs. West Hip-Hop All Star Game, 2 Chainz has announced his fifth solo studio album Rap Or Go To The League. Tity Boi's basketball skills are well documented, so it seems likely that this will be a personal project from the prolific Atlanta legend.

2 Chainz made the announcement on Instagram, dropping a trailer and lengthy caption:

"With the height of racial tensions across America I felt I should do my part in explaining some of the brain washing formulas used in my community , this album not only touches on those who did succeed thru entertainment but those who didn't ! Welcome to Rap or Go TO THE LEAGUE ! My 5th solo studio album and project that shows continued growth , success , and motivation which is playing a role in the shift of the trap paradigm."

The project comes on the heels of his excellent The Play Don't Care Who Makes It, which dropped a a few weeks back. Not only that, but 2 Chainz has also been hitting the radio alongside ScHoolboy Q, Saudi, and Kendrick Lamar with their Black Panther highlight "X." Clearly, 2 Chainz still has much to say, and from the sound of it, Rap Or Go To The League will pick up where the autobiographical narrative of "Burglar Bars" left off.
