Come Outside ScarLip Come Outside ScarLip
"Come Outside" by ScarLip features production from N.Y Bangers and used to be a YouTube-exclusive joint before its release on DSPs this week.

ScarLip is one of the hardest rappers out of New York these days, coming through with consistently aggressive and skillful hardcore hip-hop. That's evident from her new single "Come Outside," which actually dropped back in July as a YouTube-exclusive track and music video. Now, fans can enjoy the confrontational and boisterous track on digital streaming platforms. The Brooklyn lyricist sounds like a monster on the track, often shouting her bars and making it impossible for you to misunderstand them. Instrumentally, a simple and menacing piano loop matches sparse but hard-hitting percussion, and ScarLip makes it come alive. It's one of the angriest cuts you'll hear this week, but the energy translates in a compelling way.

Quotable Lyrics from Come Outside

Get that work and flip them pounds off,
What you think them shooters on the ground for?
What you think we taking trips out of town for?
But you too busy praying on my downfall

About The Author
Gabriel Bras Nevares is a staff writer for HotNewHipHop. He joined HNHH while completing his B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication at The George Washington University in the summer of 2022. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Gabriel treasures the crossover between his native reggaetón and hip-hop news coverage, such as his review for Bad Bunny’s hometown concert in 2024. But more specifically, he digs for the deeper side of hip-hop conversations, whether that’s the “death” of the genre in 2023, the lyrical and parasocial intricacies of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle, or the many moving parts of the Young Thug and YSL RICO case. Beyond engaging and breaking news coverage, Gabriel makes the most out of his concert obsessions, reviewing and recapping festivals like Rolling Loud Miami and Camp Flog Gnaw. He’s also developed a strong editorial voice through album reviews, think-pieces, and interviews with some of the genre’s brightest upstarts and most enduring obscured gems like Homeboy Sandman, Bktherula, Bas, and Devin Malik.
