Shannon Sharpe was not having it with Enes Kanter during his latest episode of Nightcap on Sunday evening. Kanter appeared at the WNBA game between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky, where he wore a shirt with the definition of "woman" on the front.
Kanter and Royce White have been going viral as of late as they look to troll the WNBA as well as trans women. They have stated their desire to identify as trans women so that they can play in the league. The WNBA wants nothing to do with them and their grift, although Kanter and White have been unrelenting.
It all culminated in Kanter's appearance at Sunday's game, where he got into a verbal confrontation with Natasha Cloud of the Chicago Sky. She clearly did not want him there, and it led to Kanter being removed by security.
This stunt was looked down upon by Sharpe, Joe Johnson, and Chad Ochocinco, who were quick to call this what it was: a desperate plea for attention.

Sharpe noted that Kanter has been doing these kinds of things for the Fox News crowd, and that this will likely get him an appearance on some shows this morning. Ochocinco and Johnson, on the other hand felt as though this was such a colossal waste of time.
At the end of the day, this does nothing for women's sports. Instead, it puts the WNBA in a difficult situation, for no reason. The players just want to hoop, and instead, they are being roped into a political sideshow.
In 2026, these kinds of grifts are paying the bills for people who haven't been relevant in years.
