The director and a producer of "Dragon Ball Super" allude to a future for the anime.

Fans of Dragon Ball Super have been waiting to see the conclusion of the big Goku/Jiren fight. The Tournament of Power has had its fair share of twists and turns, but now that Goku achieved a new level of power, his latest bout with Jiren is an interesting one. However, after news that the series was ending, this final skirmish is bittersweet. Now, two members of the Dragon Ball Super team are hinting at a future beyond Super.

Director, Ryota Nakamura and producer, Satoru Takami sat down for an interview regarding the remainder of the show. The two assured fans that there is an open-ended conclusion to the arc. “I hope people’s eyes are glued to director Nakamura’s full-force direction and the ending which Toriyama-sensei has prepared for this story,” Takami hinted. “Personally I even get the feeling that Toriyama-sensei is trying to set up even more stories.”

Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, oversaw this latest anime and decided the end for the series. If Takami is right about Toriyama's intentions, the conclusion of Dragon Ball Super may be the birth of a new addition to the franchise. Keep an eye out for any leads during the final two episodes of Super.
