The holidays are a great time of the year. You get to spend time with family, and get some gifts from them to boot. Unfortunately, family members sometimes miss the mark with their gifts. Rather than letting them wallow at the bottom of your closet, Burger King is offering you a much more delicious alternative: trade your gifts for Whoppers.
The promotion works as follows: bring your unwanted gifts to Burger King and they’ll donate them to charity in exchange for a Whopper. Burger King is calling the promotion their Holiday 2016 “Whopper Exchange.” You don’t have to tell your family member, or share the burger with them.
Unfortunately, the in-person promotion is limited to Miami, from 10:30am to 5pm on December 26. However, if you aren’t located in those places you can still get something in exchange for your terrible gifts. Just post pictures of your unwanted holiday gifts on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #WhopperExchange in return for what’s being called a “mystery surprise.” It can’t possibly be a burger, right?
