The Weeknd has scored his third chart-topping hit.

After 6 weeks atop the Hot 100, Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles" has given way to The Weeknd's "Starboy." The Weeknd's radio single has spent 14 weeks on the Hot 100, eight of which were spent in the #2 position. Now that the singer (real name Abel Tesfaye) has claimed the top spot for the week dated January 7th, he has 3 Hot 00 #1s under his belt, the others being 2015 singles "Can't Feel My Face," which spent 3 weeks at the top, and "The Hills," which reigned for six weeks.

The song marks Daft Punk's first #1 on the Hot 100, the closest they'd come being their Pharrell-assisted 2013 single, "Get Lucky," which peaked at #2. Daft Punk worked on both "Starboy" and "I Feel It Coming" from The Weeknd's new album, the latter of which is currently climbing the charts as well; currently sitting at #22.
