Skinnyfromthe9, a rapper from Somerville, New Jersey, was arrested along with his father, his brother and another accomplice for kidnapping and assaulting a 21 year old man. Skinnyfromthe9 has amassed over 500,000k Instagram followers in his short career. He has a single with PnB Rock to his credit which dropped this past week.

Patrol units were called to the Villegas' home (Skinny's namesake) where the hostage was liberated after several days in captivity. The victim who was well acquainted with his attackers,was asked to accompany them on a trip. Unfortunately the four men had other plans in mind. As the vehicle set off, Skinny snatched the victim's cell phone and allegedly started punching him in the abdomen. The three other men interjected as well, for about an hour until they felt they'd proven their point.
The four men were apprehended almost instantaneously upon arriving at their destination. All four men are currently being held at a local jailhouse while they await trial. According to My Central Jersey, the Villegas family has won as many friends as it has detractors. Those who disapprove of Skinnyfromthe9's woozy disposition took to Facebook to voice their displeasure over the fracas, taking place momentarily in their driveway. Earlier in the year, Skinny had come under fire for allegedly beating a man in a convenience store. Video footage of the attack was obtained by NJ.com. Skinny recently signed to L.A. Reid’s new record label Hitco, also home to Big Boi & Dinah Jane of 5th Harmony.
