ScHoolboy Q's Habits & Contradictions, in many ways his breakthrough project, celebrates its 5th anniversary today (January 14th), and Q decided to share some thoughts on the project on Instagram.
"5 years ago today #HnC," he wrote, recalling the very different circumstances he was in at the time. "niggaHz wasn't callin my pHone tHen, tHey waited til da platinum plaques and Grammy noms came..... leecHes r losers tHank u groovy Q fans.
The project featured guest appearances from TDE signees Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul, as well as memorable collaborations with ASAP Rocky and Jhene Aiko. As of 2014, it had sold 48,00 copies in the U.S.
Last year, Q released his 4th album, and second for a major label, Black Face LP.
Earlier this week, his labelmate SZA announced that her CTRL album will be released later this year on TDE.
