If you haven't heard by now, Amber Rose is using her influence to organize an event to protest rape culture, sexual injustice, slut-shaming, and gender inequality. The proposed "Slut Walk" isn't the first of its kind, but it might be the biggest, as Amber is looking to raise $45,000 to host the march in L.A.
While the protest is well on its way to reaching its goal (it's currently at close to $30,00 in support), Nicki Minaj made a generous donation towards the cause, offering 5k to the event just yesterday.
As someone who has always been vocal about feminist issues herself, it's no surprise that Nicki has co-signed the movement. Amber shared Nicki's contribution on Twitter, thanking the rapper for understanding the issue.
As written on the GoFundMe page, the money will be used for "on-site services such as HIV testing, sexual awareness booths, food vendors, merchandise vendors and a host of other services". It will also make it's way to Amber's foundation, where it will go to "groups and organizations of women who have been subject to slut shaming, a lack of implication of double standards, sexual assault, and even rape".
