Meek Mill says Kanye's old bars helped him get through prison.

Whether you’re sick of him or not, you can’t deny the fact that Kanye West sure knows how to draw attention & strike up a conversation in the culture. Over the past few weeks, the Chicago rapper has been making national headless for siding with Donald Trump and stating some outrageous remarks, most recently about slavery being a choice while on TMZ. In the midst of Kanye’s derailment however, several of his closest peers & friends have been taking to social media to voice their opinion on the whole matter, including T.I. who even jumped on a record with ‘Ye and addressed his Trump comments on “Ye Vs The People.” Others who’ve been vocal about Kanye have been John Legend, Ebro, Charlemagne, J. Cole, Frank Ocean, Das Dillinger, Questlove, YG, French Montana, and now Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill is joining in on the mix.

On Tuesday night, the newly-freed MMG rapper took to his Instagram page say he missed the old Kanye, and that his old lyrics helped him get through prison.

“To whom much is giving much is tested .... get arrested I guess until he get the message.. I feel the pressure under more scrutiny and what I do “act more stupidly” 🤦🏾‍♂️ #oldye #wemissyoubro them bars touched me in my cell!” Meek captioned. The photo he shared was a spray painting of of Kanye with the words “RIP Old Kanye” across the top, and “We miss you” underneath his younger photo.
