As many of you might know, the annual Dreamville Festival is scheduled to occur next week. In anticipation of what is slated to be an entertaining and engaging affair, North Carolina native Lute dropped two freestyles.

First signed to Dreamville in 2015, Lute has steadily been dropping heat for fans to enjoy, whether he is working on albums such as West1996 pt. 2 or touring with Dreamville's front-man and fellow rapper J Cole. Lute does not disappoint with this recent release - entitled Slum County, Lute delivers lyrical prowess over Mobb Deep’s 2001 track “The Learning (Burn)” on “Side A” and on “Side B" features an original track by Homage Beats.

Quotable Lyrics

Some days I wondered if my days were numbered
I wish I knew what I know now when I was younger
Head above the water now I'm older, shit can't take me under
Even though I am swimming in my thoughts n*gga
