Lil Wayne reveals he "signed" with Jay Z at KMEL Summer Jam.

During his performance at KMEL Summer Jam in the Bay Area, Lil Wayne decided to make a very special announcement to the crowd. "I just signed a deal with my motherfucking idol, Jay Z," Wayne declared to cheering fans.

We've been watching Weezy's frustration with his Cash Money situation all year, and while we've heard nothing of a resolution between himself and mentor, Birdman, this is certainly good news, but raises more questions than answers.

Unfortunately, Wayne didn't specify whether he was referring to a deal with Roc Nation, or simply releasing his music through TIDAL, but his recent co-ownership of the latter suggests that's what'll be happening.

Last week, Wayne released the blazing new record, "Glory," exclusively through TIDAL, so we wouldn't be surprised if we got the proposed Free Weezy Album through the platform as well. As for Carter V, that may still be in Cash Money's hands, unless there's something we still don't know about.
