Cozz and Kendrick Lamar embrace the West Coast on "Hustla's Story."

Some traditions are unimportant. Dreamville's Cozz opted to skip the expected Friday album release, deviating from the pattern to drop off his anticipated Effected album on a Tuesday. Tomorrow, February 13th, to be exact. As a result, a pair of new tracks have circulated in Australian markets, which mean they're technically released on streaming services; only issue is, the vast majority of us can't yet acquire them through conventional means. However, fortune favors the bold, and those seeking new music need only widen their search.

While Cozz is a capable artist, there's a fighting chance many casuals will skip directly to the Kendrick Lamar feature, the West-Coast anthem "Hustla's Story." Over a menacing bassline and slow-burning G-funk synthesizers, Kendrick and Cozz exchange rapid-fire verses, with the latter laying down a melodic rendition of his come-up. Be sure to check this one out, and stay tuned for the upcoming Effected, dropping on Valentine's Day eve.

Quotable Lyrics

Not sure how to raise a daughter,
But they know how to raise the price
What you gon do? Tell a n***a what you goin' through
I could probably relate
