Whether you’ve realized it or not, Kap G has been having himself quite the year in 2017. From being named to this year’s XXL Freshman class to dropping off his debut album Supa Jefe back in April, which featured the recently-announced Gold single “Girlfriend,” the fast-rising ATL crooner has been on a pretty meteoric rise to some mainstream success this year, and he doesn’t look to be slowing down. After hitting us with a 3-song EP last week called Mood, Kap G look to be right back in the studio, and this time he’s cooking up new heat with fellow ATL rapper Playboi Carti.
On Wednesday night, Kap took to his Instagram to share a snippet of his upcoming collab with Carti, and it sounds kinda fire from what we can hear. “NEW VIBE$ ... GOT CARTI W/ ME,” he captioned the post with.
Unfortunately, Kap didn’t reveal any further information about the song, like what’s it called or when we might hear the final product, but its definitely got fans eager to hear the collab. The beat alone sounds hella dope, and Kap can definitely lay down a melodic vibe & chorus, so there could easily be a potential hit on the way. It’s safe to say this will be a Kap G record with Carti being featured on it though.
This new preview surfaces in the midst of some juicy rumors that Playboi Carti is dating Tyga & Rob Kardashian’s ex Blac Chyna. Over the past couple weeks, the two have been spotted out in public a couple different times, and all signs point that they’re dating, or at the very least hooking up.
