The Diplomats have been in full effect since their formal reunion at Spotify's RapCaviar Live show last year. While a Dipset album has yet to be confirmed, the crew has been working on their own solo careers. Jim Jones is the latest to deliver a new project. At the wee hours of the morning, the rapper dropped off his latest album, The Wasted Talent. The rapper recently linked up with us where he spoke on his latest project, his relationship with Jay-Z and 50 Cent, the streaming game and more.

There's no doubt that Jim Jones' upbringing in Harlem had a major impact on the way he makes and delivers music. From his business acumen to his sound, his life in Harlem has influenced his music. The rapper explained that concept behind his latest album is a reflection of something he's witnessed constantly through his life.

"Where we come from in these ghetto communities, everybody has a story of wasted talent or knows somebody we figure has wasted their talent and shit like that. Sometimes, people might waste their talent in one direction and find success in another direction," he explained. "You got some people who really wasted their talent and didn't get a chance to show how great they could be or didn't have the platform. A lot of the times, we missin' the platform to show how great we could be."
