J. Cole is putting on for his city with the freshly-announced Dreamville Festival.

J. Cole has been a busy man in the last seven days. Early last week, the rapper scrubbed his Instagram page and added a new avatar, simply depicting the color purple. After putting on a few free shows, it became clear that Cole was dropping an album on Friday, which he followed up on to drop one of the better full-length efforts of the year thus far. Unsurprisingly, Cole's project has as many critics as it does fans but his reach after the release of K.O.D. is impeccable. Yesterday, Cole was busy on Twitter, answering fan questions about his album and today, he has made a major announcement via the medium.

The Dreamville Festival will be coming to North Carolina in September according to the N.C. resident's Twitter page. It was time to make a huge announcement as both Cole and the Dreamville accounts tweeted about the September 15 festival taking place in Raleigh, North Carolina. While not much is known at all about the event, it is likely that Dreamville artists Bas, Cozz, Omen, J.I.D., Earthgang, Ari Lennox, and Lute will be performing. One of the major draws of the show will, of course, be J. Cole himself. While nobody is confirmed for the festival, the name assumes that it will be a celebration of the Dreamville roster, with the possibility of outside talent performing as well.

Pre-sale access is currently available on the official website for the festival. Will you make your way to Raleigh to catch the festivities?
