In an unexpected turn of events, J Cole's next album 4 Your Eyez Only has been made available to pre-order on iTunes with a scheduled release date of December 9th—the two-year anniversary of his multi-platinum album 2014 Forest Hills Drive.
Two months ago, while performing at Meadows Music & Arts Festival in Queens, Cole said, "this is my last show for a very long time," possibly implying that he was about to get to work on his next album. Regardless of the subtext of that comment, no one could have expected that his next album would come this soon.
