Gucci Mane & Diplo have a collaborative project on the way.

Gucci Mane is still behind bars, though he's releasing more music than ever. With his latest tape, Trap House 5 (The Final Chapter), the 1017 boss has now put out nine projects this year alone--seven mixtapes (or digital albums) and two EPs. His Twitter account is still active as well.

Yesterday (April 18), Guwop tweeted that he has a new project on the way: An EDM album with producer Diplo. Diplo, head honcho of Mad Decent Records, got his start making electronic tunes, moved on to bass-infused dancehall with Major Lazer, and is now doing just about everything. Some of his notable hip-hop collaborators include: Lil Wayne, Wale, Snoop Dogg, and many more.

Diplo confirmed he is, indeed, (somehow) working with Gucci, but clarifies: "it ain't EDM." Whatever it is, it's gonna be one of the most exciting new rapper/producer combos we've seen this year.
