Come And See Badu (PartyNextDoor Remix)
Erykah Badu
VERY HOTTTTT
Erykah Badu has already worked her magic on Drake's "Hotline Bling," but it looks like her love for the OVO sound has continued to grow, as her latest remix finds her reworking "Come and See Me," the latest single from PartyNextDoor. As she tends to, Erykah makes a point of making the remix her own, but this time, she's left PND's vocals in the mix, turning it into something of a duet.

VERY HOTTTTT
After debuting her new cover of FADER yesterday, Erykah Badu quickly returns to the site with the release of her new remix to Wintertime's "Thru It All." For those unfamiliar, Wintertime is buzzing on Soundcloud (just under 20k followers), and he's probably best described as an Internet rapper, with a Lil Yachty-esque soft vocals and melodic, but simple production.

VERY HOTTTTT
By now you've all heard Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Fridays release "Real Friends," which, in conjunction with that "No More Parties in LA" snippet, wiped the unfortunate "FACTS" from our collective memory. Given its quality, "Real Friends" was inevitable going to get some remixes.

Erykah Badu
VERY HOTTTTT
We've seen all sorts of "Hotline Bling" covers and remixes, but this one's actually worth a listen, as it comes from the legend Erykah Badu. Ms. Badu reworks the production using live instruments, while still keeping the bouncy goodness of the original.  She basically keeps the theme of Drake's original, but switches the gender roles. Her remix runs for over 7 minutes and gets deeper and weirder as she goes. There's a genius recording of Badu's voicemail message about 4 minutes in.

Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment
HOTTTTT
Little-known VA producer The Ologist just came up with a big-time remix, chopping up Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment's jazzy smoov "Rememory" feat. Erykah Badu and making it somehow even jazzy smoovier than the original.  The drums alone are choice and The Ologist's tasteful MPC-handiwork seals the deal. Here is his artist statement for the track:

Mickey Factz
HOTTTTT
Sometimes the best way to pay homage to your favorite artists is to sample them in your own music. BJ The Chicago kid did that this week with his James Brown homage, and now Mickey Factz big-ups Erykah Badu on his new song "U (Q)." Sampling the Soulquarian's "Out My Mind, Just In Time," Factz's latest track is as jazzy and smooth as you'd expect. "Created out of love," according to Factz, the track "artistically covers, with the blessings from the ever magnificent Erykah Badu, a man's devotion for the person he is engaged with." Y'all feeling this one or nah?
