Dame Dash and Lee Daniels seem to be back on good terms. According to TMZ, the music mogul and director have reached a settlement in the $5M lawsuit Dame filed against Daniels. Dame and Daniels came to an agreement in the matter and decided to drop the lawsuit. They'll also pay for their own attorney's fees. "I'm good. Just happy 2 people from the culture could work things out," Dame said about the agreement.
Dame previously invested $2M for a Richard Pryor movie that Lee Daniels was working on with the agreement that the music mogul would receive a credit as an executive producer as well as 5 percent of Daniels' backend profits from the film. However, Daniels' didn't come through on his end of the deal, ultimately bailing on the project.
Earlier this year, footage surfaced of Dame Dash confronting Lee Daniels' at a Diana Ross concert and threatening to take legal action against the director if he doesn't get his money. Although Lee Daniels' promised that he'd pay back Dash, the former Roc-A-Fella co-founder kept his word and filed a $5M due to interest and lost profits.
At this point, there isn't much information on how much Lee forked over to Dame Dash in the lawsuit, but considering that Dame is satisfied with the outcome, it's possible that it was a hefty chunk of change.
