The reality star-turned-rapper says she's grateful just to be nominated.
No one can say she hasn't come a long way.
Cardi B, one of hip-hop's rising female personalities, received two BET Award nominations this year, for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist and Best New Artist. If you're wondering what her reaction was to the news, well, I'll just let this video speak for itself.
She later tweeted that she "don’t even care" if she wins, just the fact that she got nominated is enough for her. Cardi B does have some tough competition in the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist category, which boasts Nicki Minaj, Remy Ma, Missy Elliott and Young M.A as the other nominees. However, it takes nothing away from her major accomplishment, at just 24 years old to boot. Not bad for someone who was once only famous for having one-sided conversations on social media.
