Mystery Box Edition plays on the popular Zombie Mode.

Each year, Activision comes out with a new Call of Duty video game. The series has been feeling lackluster as of late, so Activision has chosen to revert to their most popular storyline, Black Ops. A fourth entry in the Black Ops series will be hitting consoles this Fall, and Activision released new information about the upcoming game at San Diego Comic-Con today.

The most popular game mode in Call of Duty has always been Zombie Mode. The mini-game has evolved over the years, and what was once a simple mansion level has been upgraded into all types of madness. Activision will be bringing back Zombie Mode, but this time there will be three different variations of the mini-game for players to become engrossed in. The game developer released a trailer that showcases the new "Blood of the Dead" Zombie Mode. The classic Zombie Mode heroes are back, but this time they will explore the Alcatraz Penitentiary.

Activision also announced the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Mystery Box Edition. As the name implies, the special edition game will be themed around Zombie Mode. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Mystery Box Edition includes a copy of the game in a steelbook, the infamous mystery box, a 1,000-piece puzzle, the first issue of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies comic book, Zombies heroes pins, collectible lithographs, the Black Ops Pass, and tons of additional collectibles and content.
