August Alsina speaks on his feud with Trey Songz, as well as his appearance on 106 & Park where he refused to discuss the beef.
While it's not clear what spawned it, August Alsina has made it clear that he and Trey Songz have not seen eye to eye in the past. Most recently, the topic resulted in a very awkward interview on 106 & Park, where August was asked about the feud after specific instructions not to bring it up. In a new interview with HOT 97, Alsina did speak a bit about his current relationship with Trey Songz, which has improved-- as well as the infamous television moment.
Alsina was still very tight-lipped about how the beef came about."Honestly it doesn’t matter," he said "The thing is, I choose to tell you what I want to tell you and the rest of it just ain’t your mother fuckin' business. Period.”
As far as shutting down Keyshia Chante's question on 106, August said he doesn't regret it, but also feels it was misconstrued. “People get honesty and being mean mixed up nowadays," he explained. "If you put me in a position, that’s how I felt...I went back to BET yesterday and that’s exactly what I said. She was like, ‘I didn’t mean to disrespect you,’ and I was like, ‘Well, it wasn’t my intention to disrespect you.' Yeah, there was a conversation. But the thing was, before this conversation, I felt how I felt and I spoke on how I felt. You know. I don’t take back nothing that I said."
"I speak from my heart," he said of his up-front nature. "I got a big fuckin' mouth. I don't know how to change that."
