Christmas is finally here and no doubt you’ve already finished your shopping. You left a few very important people off your shopping list, however. Namely, your favorite rappers. They’ve done nothing but provide us with great music and be good little girls and boys (GS9 excepted) all year. And yet you stiffed ‘em.

While most of us cannot pull off the face tatt, whether it be because of the environment we work in, the fact our parents would highly disapprove, or simply because we're not rappers-- however, if there's one rapper who's got the face tattoo down pat, it's Weezy F. Lil Wayne already had a healthy amount of ink on his face and the rest of his body, but he's taken that up notch with several new tattoos on his face.

2014 may have been a terrible year for hip-hop in terms of record sales, but don't let the numbers fool you into thinking the year was uneventful. In this case, the numbers most definitely do lie. Aside from numerous relationship gossip, 2014 saw the return of Lil Boosie, the rise of August Alsina, and the (maybe) beginning of the end for Cash Money Records. The following news stories were among the most popular that HNHH had to offer over the past 12 months, sequenced chronologically. Take a trip down memory lane and re-live the top twenty most-viewed new stories of 2014.

Interesting juxtaposition we have in the first two weeks of December. This week saw the release of J. Cole's 2014 Forest Hills Drive, an album projected to be highest selling hip-hop project of the year while having more than its fair share of aw shucks moments. We're turning up next week, though. The Pinkprint is coming out, and those thinkpieces will be on their way soon.

2014 was a relatively quiet year for music. It almost felt like the first half of the year was dedicated to the remnants of 2013 (so we had Young Thug continue to blow up, all the Drake leftovers) and the second half was a build up to next year (we received no Lil Wayne or Kendrick Lamar album, etc). Nonetheless, the year is ending on a high note, with albums from J. Cole, PRhyme, Wu-Tang Clan, Nicki Minaj, Eminem etc-- a lot of the big projects were saved for this last quarter.

When Lil Wayne took to Twitter earlier this week to announce the delay of Carter V, it wasn't all that surprising. What was surprising was his vocal frustration with both the label and his mentor/father figure Birdman. Wayne expressed that he wanted out of his deal as soon as possible, but it wasn't clear whether he'd attempt to see the threat through. Performing at Vice's 20th anniversary party last night, Wayne once again touched on his rickety deal, remarking, "I'm fucked up in a bad situation, but I will be out of it soon."

With Lil Wayne and Tyga seeming all but ready to jump ship yesterday, Cash Money Records' stacked roster appears to be in danger of losing a few of its hottest talents.  Cortez Bryant (Weezy's longtime manager), however, insists that everything is "good" inside the label.

Lil Wayne is supposed to be releasing his new album Tha Carter V on December 9th. Seeing as Nicki Minaj's Pinkprint is due out a week later and is now available for pre-order while Wayne's record is not, we're probably looking at another delay. Regardless, Weezy is starting the promo tour, appearing on the cover of Nylon this month, for which the cover and a few choice quotes have been revealed. Lil Wayne likes to spoil his oldest child, Reginae Carter, and of course her sweet 16 was no exception. Not only did Reginae's party feature a performance by Young Money's first lady Nicki Minaj, she scored two brand new cars (and not cheap ones at that). Wayne's daughter earned herself a BMW SUV as well as a Ferrari GTO. No word on whether she can actually drive these things. Reginae's mother, Toya Wright and her husband Memphitz were also in attendance. It's not clear whether or not they contributed to the luxurious gifts.

Lil B delivered his first lecture in 2012 at NYU, which generated a lot of attention, and inspired some very thoughtful pieces. Most of all, Lil B's words were sincere and uplifting, which is why the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (which happens to be ranked as the number one university in the world) asked him to speak to students this week.

The AMAs had a pretty stacked cast of performers this year, with a pretty wide range of pop, R&B, and rap performances. Lil Wayne debuted a brand new song from the Carter V, which featured the newly Cash Money-signed singer (and Weezy's rumored girlfriend for a time) Christina Millian. Elsewhere, Nicki Minaj delivered the first full televised performance of "Bed Of Lies", which she teased during her hosting gig at the AMAs, while Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea did their best to reel in their "Booty" performance for the primetime crowd.

As previously announced, Weezy F. Baby took the stage at tonight's American Music Awards to debut his brand new Carter V single "Start A Fire." Featuring a chorus from Christina Milian, the track centers on a relationship between the former member of the Hot Boyz and a "hot girl" that catches his attention. The preview was just over two-minutes in length, so we can assume that a third verse either from Wayne or Christina will make its way onto the studio version.
